2018 Bookish Resolutions

I’m not a big fan of resolutions. Even when I was a kid and everyone around me was talking and planning about it, I made no big deal of it. But since joining the book blogging community, I realized that resolutions can really help me get motivated and have a clear mindset for the beginning of the year especially since 2017 was not a big reading year for me.

I’m not gonna be a hard on myself. If I achieved all these by the end of the year then that would be really cool. But if not, it’s fine also. So lo and behold, here are my 2018 bookish resolutions! Read more

UNBOXING: Pouts and Fluffs Loot Box ‘Embrace the Darkness’ October 2017

Pouts and Fluffs Loot Box

Since it was my birthday month last October, I thought buying myself a book subscription box would be a cool gift. Filipino book lovers had a lot to choose from in terms of sub boxes available locally so I had a hard time choosing where to buy but I finally settled with Pouts and Fluffs Loot Box. This is my first time to buy a bookish sub box but last year, I won one from Lit Cube which you can read about here.

Let’s get on with the unboxing! Read more

Netflix Book Tag

Netflix Book Tag

Hey guys! I’m back with another tag! I love doing book tags so much. They’re so much fun and I get to know bloggers/booktubers more and the books they love (or hate sometimes). Since I just finished binge watching Stranger Things Season 2 (it’s sooo good and funny and just amazing) I figured I should do the Netflix Book Tag. Read more

Sophia has seven days left in Tokyo before she moves back to the States. Seven days to say good-bye to the electric city, her wild best friend, and the boy she’s harbored a semi-secret crush on for years. Seven perfect days…until Jamie Foster-Collins moves back to Japan and ruins everything.
Jamie and Sophia have a history of heartbreak, and the last thing Sophia wants is for him to steal her leaving thunder with his stupid arriving thunder. Yet as the week counts down, the relationships she thought were stable begin to explode around her. And Jamie is the one who helps her pick up the pieces. Sophia is forced to admit she may have misjudged Jamie, but can their seven short days of Tokyo adventures end in anything but good-bye?

Currently Watching #1

Currently Watching is a feature on the blog wherein I share all the t.v. shows and animes (and even movies) that I’m currently watching. This will be all spoiler-free, of course! I’ve included the IMDb and MyAnimeList links for these shows so you can check them out.

My watching life (is that a legit term for it?) has taken over my reading life and I have no regrets (okay a little) since I’m watching some cool t.v. and anime series!

Charlotte survived four long years as a prisoner in the attic of her kidnapper, sustained only by dreams of her loving family. The chance to escape suddenly arrives, and Charlotte fights her way to freedom. But an answered prayer turns into heartbreak. Losing her has torn her family apart. Her parents have divorced: Dad's a glutton for fame, Mom drinks too much, and Charlotte's twin is a zoned-out druggie. Her father wants Charlotte write a book and go on a lecture tour, and her mom wants to keep her safe, a virtual prisoner in her own home. But Charlotte is obsessed with the other girl who was kidnapped, who never got a second chance at life--the girl who nobody but Charlotte believes really existed. Until she can get justice for that girl, even if she has to do it on her own, whatever the danger, Charlotte will never be free.

The Year of Discoveries | The Thanks U Give: A Bookish Community Thanksgiving Celebration

I planned my own thanksgiving post a week before Mishma and Hazel posted about their event and I’m actually glad that they came up with it because it spreads good vibes in the bookish community!

Can I be totally honest with you guys? This year has both been the BEST and WORST year of my life so far. I’ve experienced so much happiness and heartbreak in such a short span of time it’s like I rode multiple roller coaster rides. But still I’m thankful. I have learned and grown a lot since this time last year. So below is a poem I wrote for thanking the people and the experiences that helped me be the strong person I am now. Enough drama and I hope my American friends have stuffed themselves with so many food (I am green with envy)! Read more
