Netflix Book Tag

Netflix Book Tag

Hey guys! I’m back with another tag! I love doing book tags so much. They’re so much fun and I get to know bloggers/booktubers more and the books they love (or hate sometimes). Since I just finished binge watching Stranger Things Season 2 (it’s sooo good and funny and just amazing) I figured I should do the Netflix Book Tag.

RECENTLY WATCHED | Last book you finished reading

They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera

Let me make a confession: I started reading this book back on October 7 and finished it on October 12 (let’s ignore the fact that I haven’t finished a book since October 12). In my defense I was really busy with work and reviewing then but some parts of this book were dragging too. Nevertheless, it’s still a great read and it won’t be my last Adam Silvera book.

TOP BOOKS | A book/books that have been recommended to you based on books you have previously read

Warcross by Marie Lu

I just looked what Goodreads recommended to me and here it is. I’m actually not too keen in reading Warcross because I have a love/hate relationship with scfi.

RECENTLY ADDED | The last book you bought

The Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo

I’ve been wanting to take a proper picture of The Language of Thorns but it’s gloomy here so this book cover will have to suffice. I really want to read something from the Grishaverse and this book seems like a good start.

POPULAR ON NETFLIX | Books that everyone knows about (two you’ve read and two you have never read or have no interest in reading)

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

I’ve read the Red Queen when it first came out because it sounded super awesome but I ended up hating it except for Maven whom I loved. I obviously didn’t read the other books because of the reviews I have heard.

ILLUMINAE. IS. THE. BEST. SCIFI. BOOK. EVER. Don’t fight me on this.

Six of Crows by Leigh BardugoA Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

Like I said earlier, I really want to read something from the Grishaverse but I don’t think our bookstore has a copy of Six of Crows anymore. I’m also intrigued about ACOTAR. Part of me wants to read it because I want to read more fantasy books and another part of me doesn’t want to because of the issues that surrounded it when it first came out a couple of years ago.

COMEDIES | A funny book

The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

One of the funniest series I’ve read is the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. I miss reading something by Rick Riordan!

WATCH IT AGAIN | A book/book series you want to re-read

I’m actually currently re-reading City of Bones. I want to finish this series so bad but I can’t remember most of the details because I read it way back in early 2013.

DOCUMENTARIES | A non-fiction book you’d recommend to everyone

I Am Malala by Malala Yousafzai

If you still haven’t read this book then go pick a copy and read it!

ACTION AND ADVENTURE | An action packed book

Gemina by Amy Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

If my memory serves me right I think this book has even more action scenes than Illuminae.

NEW RELEASES | A book that just came out or will be coming out soon that you can’t wait to read

Ice Wolves by Amie Kaufman

I have an ARC of Ice Wolves and I feel like this is a perfect read this December.
